Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is very often misdiagnosed as something else. In fact, back in the 1980s, a group of psychiatrists conducted a clinical trial and decided it wasn’t a personality disorder. Instead, they pointed to the similarity of its symptoms with other disorders, like MDD, bipolar disorders, and psychotic disorders.
